About
Why Neighbours?
I've watched Neighbours my entire life.

I was born in the summer of 1987, less than a year after the soap from Down Under had made it over to the UK. My mum was one of those who was hooked from the start, so I grew up in a world where for 20 minutes a day we lived on Ramsay Street.

I'm not sure if Neighbours is totally responsible for my lifelong love affair with all things Australia, but it is definitely a contributing factor.

There is no other soap or show like Neighbours. It is undeniably a cheesy, silly, sometimes ridiculous thing of a show - with plenty of early, low-budget charm - but it is also warm, comforting, familiar and full of heart - no matter how many years go by.

I was not quite ready to give up Numbers 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32 when I heard the news of Neighbours (temporary it seems) cancellation. I'll be tuning into the new episodes when they air on Amazon Freevee - and hopefully sharing recaps - but my main aim is to rewatch as many old episodes of Neighbours from the start as I can (either until I run out of access to episodes/get bored/life gets in the way).
You can also expect general Neighbours musings, commentary and other stuff about the people and goings on of Ramsay Street.

This site is intended for entertainment. It's a light-hearted love letter to Neighbours that embraces all the silly bits that made it so special. Whether you're discovering Neighbours for the first time or reliving old memories, I hope you enjoy it here.
